Timber Management - Forestry Resource Team |
Gordy joined Pyramid Mountain Lumber 10 years ago as the Resource Manager.
Working with a Master of Science degree in Forest and Range Management from
Washington State University, Gordy coordinates Pyramid's team of foresters.
Gordy is familiar with Montana's timber industry, having worked
as a forester for Anaconda Forest Products, Champion International,
and Plum Creek Timber Company before coming to Pyramid.
Along with local duties, Gordy networks with timber groups and state and federal
agencies to improve forest management methods and practices. He fills the role
of instructor at many workshops. Gordy also serves as an auditor for the State
of Montana Forestry Best Management Practices.
Gordy has received numerous awards and recognitions, including “Timberman
of the Year” and “Communicator of the Year” by the Montana
Wood Products Association.
