5/12/2009 Missoulian adds their support to the Blackfoot-Clearwater Stweardship Project
Recognizing the work of various interest groups that hammered out a proposal that would "guide the future of the upper Blackfoot Valley", the Missoulian joined a growing list of supporters. Other supporters include the Missoula County Board of Commissioners, the Missoula Area Economic Development Corporation and the Montana Community Development Corporation.
The project includes stewardship forestry management, a wilderness area of 87,000 acres, and a new biomass facility that would add 45 to 50 jobs in Seeley Lake.
The editorial encouraged residents to express their support to the Montana congressional delegate, urging them to guide this project through legislation.
